Led by Mrs Eunice Yeo, founder of Peace of Art, the 60 Lights, One Future campaign rallies 60 individuals, known as “Lights” each committing to raise $6,000 towards a collective target of $360,000 in support of the Singapore Red Cross’ (SRC) Young Hearts programme. The campaign was officially launched on 13 November at City Square Mall, where the community partners, and supporters gathered to mark the start of this meaningful journey to provide a year of academic and social support for each child.

The evening began with a lively tour led by Mrs Eunice Yeo, joined by Guest-of-Honour, Ms Goh Hanyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth and the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment. Together with the 60 Lights and Young Hearts children, they penned down their wishes and aspirations on the Christmas tree installation, made up of 60 resin-coated wooden panels, each symbolising every Light supporting the campaign.

Fun fact - The Christmas tree will be displayed at the SG60 Heart & Soul Experience Exhibition after this campaign!

Kicking off the campaign, Mrs Eunice Yeo shared her journey of building Peace of Art and how it turned into 60 Lights, One Future. She highlighted the importance of giving back and how each Light’s commitment shows the power of community in shaping a child’s future. Through this initiative she hopes to inspire a new generation of givers who will continue lighting the way for others
Said Mrs Eunice Yeo: “Giving can multiply, giving is like a light - this year, we want the light to be in all of us. 60 Lights, One Future brought the people who fundraised with us to tell their stories as we wanted to know why they wanted to give, and we can amplify their works and giving. Let us all remember this quote to inspire each other to be the light we hope to be in others’ lives; ‘The Light in you, the Future in us’.”

CDL Chief Sustainability Officer Ms Esther An spoke about the company’s long-standing commitment to purposeful and sustainable giving, reflecting on how corporate leadership can amplify community impact.
“Our goal is to support vulnerable children by extending CDL’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and community — bringing light and hope to children who need it most,” shared Ms Esther An.

This was followed by Secretary General/CEO of Singapore Red Cross, Mr Benjamin William’s reflection on his five-year partnership with Mrs Eunice Yeo, tracing the roots of how a small-craft fundraising effort grew into a large-scale community fundraiser that brings people together through shared acts of giving.
“The Singapore Red Cross is not just a humanitarian organisation who serves in times of crisis… We also play an active role in our local communities, helping our vulnerable children and communities. We want to be the guiding light and beacon of hope for them to receive the resources they need and deserve. And with that, we appreciate the many hands on deck to achieve this cause through fundraising by the Lights, corporates and organisers. Tonight, you've not only lit up a map - you’ve also lit up futures,” shared Mr Benjamin William.

Finally, Ms Goh Hanyan delivered her address, emphasising the importance of community spirit and the power of collective action in supporting those in need, before leading the symbolic lighting of the 4.5-metre recycled material Singapore map, marking the official launch of the campaign.
“Tonight’s initiative is a reflection of the “We-first” spirit - In addition to ourselves, it is important to identify who we are and what we value, while understanding what others are going through and what are the small sparks that we can start in others’ lives. One’s success is not measured by personal achievements, but rather what we do together to achieve a common goal. 60 Lights, One Future encompasses this model of civic giving and sustainable action, through embodying Singapore’s ‘Kampung Spirit’ and intergenerational unity as seen in our community of Lights. May this light always continue to grow beyond Christmas - into the way we live, lead and love,” said Ms Goh Hanyan

We capped off the evening with a dynamic panel, "The Future of Giving in Singapore," moderated by Jill Neubronner. The key takeaway? Giving is Leadership with Heart.
Our Lights - from diverse sectors - proved that every Singaporean can be a powerful changemaker:
- Michael Ma (Indochine Group) challenged businesses to move beyond simple CSR to build purpose into profit.
- Michelle Tay (Singapore Kindness Movement) shared how generosity is evolving, emphasising the power of community-led movements like 60 Lights, One Future.
- Lawrence Wong (Local Actor and Founder of Grail Skin) highlighted how the Creative Light makes generosity contagious through the art of storytelling.
- Alyssa Karoonyavanich (Co-Founder of Bellalyssa) defined authentic giving for the next generation, proving that action starts in the classroom and their own small acts.
A powerful reminder from this sharing was: "When we share our light, it multiplies."
Thank you to our incredible panelists for lighting up the future and for inspiring others to go forth and be their own light!
