Blood Donor Programme

The Singapore Red Cross was appointed the National Blood Donor Recruiter in 2001. Together with our partner-in-service, the Blood Services Group of the Health Sciences Authority, we aim to collect sufficient safe blood for the national transfusion needs.

We focus on three main functions in the National Blood Programme:

  • Recruitment, Retention and Recognition of blood donors
  • Promotion and Education on the importance of blood donation
  • Organisation of bloodmobile drives in the community

We also recruit, train and manage a pool of volunteers to support our outreach programmes to raise awareness about blood donation, provide routine blood donor care at collection centres. We are also always ready for donor management support in times of emergencies and disasters.

Current blood donors and potential blood donors can call or email our Blood Donor team.
