In celebration of SG60 and in commemoration of the Nanyang Hakka Federation’s 96th Anniversary and Wui Chiu Fui Kun’s 203rd Anniversary, held the Singapore Red Cross Charity Concert 2025 — Our Home. Love 60 Charity Concert «同一家园·爱心60慈善演出» on 3 August 2025 at SOTA, School Of The Arts Singapore.
The concert successfully raised more than $800,000 to support the Singapore Red Cross’ humanitarian services for vulnerable communities in Singapore. As part of the SG60 celebrations, the concert united more than 150 performers and volunteers from diverse backgrounds, showcasing music and dance that transcended cultures, eras, and generations.
Organised by Ms Terene Seow (萧立娟), Immediate Past Chairperson, current member of the Singapore Red Cross Fundraising Committee, and a former Red Cross Youth Officer, the concert reflected her lifelong dedication to humanitarian causes. She not only directed the show but also performed, while uniting donors, partners, and performers for this meaningful cause.

Guest-of-Honour Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development, graced the occasion and performed at the concert for the sixth time, delighting the audience with heartfelt renditions of 我找到自己 and Sway.
The event featured a diverse line-up including 小刀会序曲, 我问天, Jai Ho, Matsuri, Chan Mali Chan, and more — reimagined by the Nanyang Hakka Orchestra, whose troupe, composed largely of seniors, overcame challenges to master these varied pieces under the guidance of Master Conductor Liu Haifeng. The orchestra’s music was complemented by performances from Artistic Director Madam Yan Choong Lian and the Dance Ensemble Singapore team, along with Raymond Teo, Lee Rui Min and Liao Ke Wei, Kenny Long, Ng Kean San, Sharne Sulaiman, Raphael Wong, Balan, and SRC volunteer dancers.

The concert celebrated multiculturalism, unity, and resilience, reflecting the very spirit of SG60. It welcomed over 560 guests, including elderly constituents from the Toa Payoh West-Thomson constituency. We thank everyone who attended and supported the event, making the evening a memorable celebration for a good cause.
After the concert, an appreciation dinner was held at the Red Cross Home for the Disabled for performers, donors, and staff who tirelessly and generously contributed to the event’s success. Guests were also invited to tour the home, learning more about the impact of their support and how their contribution benefits the residents.
Ms Tan Poh Hong, Vice-Chairman of the Singapore Red Cross
In her speech, Ms Tan Poh Hong, Vice-Chairman of the Singapore Red Cross, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all donors, sponsors, and volunteers:
“Your support to our humanitarian causes directly uplifts vulnerable communities — bringing stay-alone elderly to healthcare and social activities; providing persons with disabilities a safe haven and round-the-clock care; supporting migrant workers in times of need; and empowering children, youth, and families from lower-income households to break the cycle of intergenerational vulnerability. Your collective efforts have enabled us to further our humanitarian mission and build a community where care, love, and hope can flourish.”
