SRC 2025 Wrapped

As we close 2025 and ring in the new year, we take a look and reflect on some of the year’s highlights and what we have achieved so far. Psst... check out our Wrapped in Numbers here!

From 7 to 10 January, we were part of the Global Heat Health Information Network (GHHIN) Southeast Asia Heat Health Forum.

The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) was part of the GHHIN Southeast Asia Heat Health Forum where we shared tips and strategies on heat management and how we support our vulnerable communities to be heat-resilient.

From 25 to 26 January, we hosted our first blood donation drive at ArtBox.

Visitors who donated blood at the blood donation drive received a surprise Heybloodbuddy Blind Box. Beneficiaries from SRC’s Young Hearts and ElderAid Programme also participated in a mural drawing during the first week of the event (17 to 18 January) within the same space.

On 7 February, we commended 2 of our Red Cross Youth cadets for saving a life.

13 year old Elina Chua and 16 year old Gracias Prasetyo from Cedar Girls School responded to a cardiac arrest emergency via the MyResponder app for Mr Rahmat Kayat. While the 82 year old subsequently passed away in hospital, their life-saving efforts were recognised by his family and both girls were also commended by their school and SRC Chairman Mr Benjamin William.

We held our annual Charity Golf and Dinner on 4 April.

Graced by Senior Minister of State Dr Koh Poh Koon, the 144 golfers gathered at Laguna National Golf Resort Club and teed off for humanity at this year’s SRC Charity Golf and Dinner. The event raised a total of over $465,000 for SRC's local humanitarian services.

On 12 April, our Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD)’s hosted the "Portraits of Love" exhibition.

Centred on celebrating meaningful relationships and transforming fleeting moments into lasting memories, the exhibition showcased photographs captured from a three-day photoshoot taken over the Valentine’s Day weekend.

The exhibition brought together residents, their families, SRC staff, and RCHD volunteers for a poignant celebration of the bonds within the Red Cross Home for the Disabled community.

Our annual fundraiser Grateful Hearts Day Campaign ran from 8 May to 15 August.

Themed ‘Together for Humanity’, the campaign raised vital funds through community-led initiatives, including a charity quiz and a vibrant pop-up at Red Cross House featuring coffee painting and local treats. These collective efforts directly support SRC’s local services, providing essential aid and hope to isolated seniors, persons with disabilities, and disadvantaged families across Singapore.

We held our first Junior First Aid Workshop during the June Holidays.

The SRCA held its inaugural run in June, engaging children in vital safety education. The curriculum featured three specialised modules: home safety, outdoor safety, and water safety.

Participants who completed all three modules were awarded an exclusive Snoopy badge and the title of Junior First Aid Champion. Following a successful first run, a second edition held in November and December saw even higher engagement, further empowering young lifesavers across Singapore.

World Blood Donor Day was celebrated on 14 June.

In partnership with the Health Sciences Authority, we celebrated World Blood Donor Day at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Under the theme ‘“One Community, Many Lifesavers”’, 2,076 dedicated donors and 37 organisations were honoured for their vital support of the National Blood Programme. Awards were presented by Guest of Honour Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, recognising those whose life-saving contributions ensure a stable blood supply for Singapore’s healthcare system.

In July, our annual Project R.I.C.E + led by our Red Cross Youth raised over $600,000.

Led by 27 youth leaders from ten higher learning institutions, the SRC Youth’s annual Project R.I.C.E.+ drive provides food and daily essentials to low-income families and isolated seniors. Some 600 volunteers packed and distributed 42,000 bundle sets to 20,000 households across Singapore, benefiting 32,000 individuals and demonstrating the powerful impact of youth-led humanitarian efforts in our community.

Our Home Love 60 Singapore Red Cross Charity Concert held on 3 August successfully raised more than $800,000.

In celebration of SG60 and significant clan anniversaries, the Singapore Red Cross Charity Concert 2025 at SOTA raised vital funds for local humanitarian services. Organised by former chairperson and member of the SRC Fundraising Committee Ms Terene Seow, the event united over 150 performers in a cross-cultural showcase of music and dance, with a special performance from Guest-of-Honour Minister for National Development Mr Chee Hong Tat.

Our 10th Singapore Humanitarian Conference was held from 29 to 30 August.

The annual Singapore Humanitarian Conference, hosted at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, addresses global challenges facing vulnerable communities while fostering international cooperation. Supported by Marina Bay Sands, the event gathered experts from the public and private sectors, NGOs, and the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement to exchange innovative ideas for a more inclusive humanitarian landscape.

Complementing the conference, the Volunteer Convention on 30 August served as a tribute to SRC’s dedicated volunteers. This gathering expressed profound gratitude for their service while sharing future strategic directions and compelling new opportunities for impactful community engagement.

On 3 September 2025, the Singapore Red Cross Annual Awards Ceremony honoured over 300 individuals and organisations for their humanitarian contributions.

Graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the event celebrated dedicated volunteers, donors, and youth leaders.

In commemoration of SG60, the ceremony featured an exhibition of 60 inspiring stories, highlighting hope and resilience across SRC’s services. By spotlighting youth-led projects and inclusive community support, the awards recognised the profound compassion and service that strengthen Singapore's social fabric.

The inaugural National Blood Dialogue was held on 19 September.

Together with HSA, the inaugural ‘Let’s Talk Drip’ National Blood Dialogue engaged 500 youths to shape the future of blood donation. Guest-of-Honour Minister of State for Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health Mdm Rahayu Mahzam joined a live podcast with Mediacorp personalities Joakim Gomez and Sonia Chew to discuss sustaining Singapore’s vital blood supply.

Additionally, the "What's the Drip?" challenge empowered finalist teams to present creative, youth-led solutions aimed at inspiring their peers to become regular donors and secure the nation’s future blood needs.

On 1 October, we unveiled the new Home Monitoring & Eldercare 2.0.

Launched by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Social and Family Development Mr Eric Chua on International Day of Older Persons, the enhanced system features an intercom for faster check-ins, a one-press panic button for emergencies, and advanced presence sensors to monitor activity and inactivity.

The launch was followed by a panel discussion, “Reimagining Eldercare in Singapore: Innovations, Integration & Inclusion” which brought together 50 stakeholders from all walks of life  to explore collaborative models for a sustainable and inclusive future for aging in Singapore.

The 60 Lights, One Future Campaign was launched on 13 November.

Led by Mrs Eunice Yeo, the ‘60 Lights, One Future’ campaign aims to raise $360,000 for the Singapore Red Cross’ Young Hearts programme. Launched on 13 November at City Square Mall, the initiative involves 60 individuals raising funds for children's welfare. The campaign tree also featured at Orchard Central’s light-up on 27 November.

From 1 December to 24 December, we held our annual Gifts from the Heart: A Community Celebration campaign.

As the festive lights twinkled across the island and the carols began to chime, SRC brought back Gifts from the Heart: A Community celebration. Spread across five locations in Singapore,the community-led initiative invited shoppers and supporters to turn their holiday errands into acts of kindness and celebrate the spirit of giving.

We ended the year on a high note with our first Red Cross Junior concert on 17 December.

RCJ and Pacifica Music Academy hosted their inaugural concert, RCJ & Friends in Harmony,  at the Shaw Foundation Alumni House. Featuring performances by children from five pre-schools, the event celebrated youth empowerment and community spirit. Funds raised for the concert went towards supporting SRC youth development programmes, which are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of humanitarian leaders.
