Singapore Red Cross 52nd Annual General Meeting

The 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) was held at Red Cross House on 15 June 2026.

In his Opening Remarks, the Chairman reflected on how 2025 marked the completion of the organisation’s 2021–2025 Strategic Plan, and prepared SRC for the next phase of its humanitarian journey.

On behalf of the Council, he thanked members, volunteers, staff, donors and partners for their generosity and dedication in strengthening communities in need, and responding to humanitarian challenges at home and abroad.

At the AGM, the members approved the Audited Financial Statement for SRC for the period 1 January to 31 December 2025, as well as the SRC Annual Report 2025. The AGM also approved the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the SRC’s Statutory Auditor for FY 2026.

Election of Council Members to the Council for 2026 - 2028

The AGM thanked Mr George Goh for his invaluable contributions and support, as he stepped down from the Council having served six years as Council Member.

Ms Emily Tan, Mr Steve Lee, Mr Puvan Ariaratnam and Dr Joy Quah were elected to the Council, for the term of office 2026 – 2028.

The Chairman appointed Mr Mike Hue, Mr Loh Oun Hean and Ms Stephanie Gee as recommended by the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee and endorsed by the Council. Mr Kiron Cheong is also appointed as an Observer to the Council.

Ms Tan Poh Hong, Prof V Anantharaman, Ms Yvonne Loo, Ms Usha Chandradas, Dr Ganesh Ramalingam, Mr Benedict Teo, Mr Dave Gurbani, Mr Desmond Chong, Prof Lee Cheng and Ms Dawn Chen, who were elected or appointed in 2025, will continue to serve for one more year. Mr Tay Yi Xiang will also continue to serve as Observer on the Council till 2027.

The Council will now comprise 19 members (including the Chairman and Secretary-General), with nine elected members and eight appointed members.
