World Blood Donor Day 2026

Event Details

Event graced by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, Mr Tan Kiat How 

Invited blood donors can join us for a fun-filled carnival and participate in our blood donation drive! You can also collect a special token on that day. Donors are welcomed to bring their family to join the carnival.

Carnival: 

  • Location: Singapore EXPO, Hall 2 
  • Time: 10am to 6pm (Movie screening starts from 2pm)

Blood Drive:

  • Location: Singapore EXPO, Hall 2 
  • Time: 11am to 5pm

 Award Ceremony:

Champion donor milestones awards (Medal for Life, Titanium, Champion of Champions, Diamond and Gold), Blood Champion (Platinum, Gold and Merit), Adopt a Bloodbank (Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze), and Impact Multiplier awards will be presented in the morning. 

Each award recipient can only be accompanied by 1 guest for the Ceremony. 

Time: 10am to 12pm (Registration starts at 9am at Hall 2)

* Please be seated at 9.45am to ensure that the ceremony proceedings will not be affected. Do note that you will not be able to receive your award on stage if you arrive after 10am.

Venue: Singapore Expo, Hall 2 

Ruby, Silver, Bronze, and YOUTHphoria Awardees:

There will be no award ceremony for Ruby, Silver, Bronze and YOUTHphoria holders. Award recipients can collect their awards at the booths set up at Hall 2 from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Donors are welcome to join the carnival after the collection of medallions.

They will receive an invitation email sent by wbdd2026@redcross.sg and a physical invitation letter. To collect the award, the recipients will need to show the email or letter at the collection booths.

Ruby, Silver Bronze and Silver Medallion Collection Booth:

  • Date: 27 June 2026, Saturday
  • Time: 10.30am to 5pm
  • Location: Singapore Expo, Hall 2

Pre-Event

RSVP for the Award Ceremony:

All Award recipients who have achieved the milestones as of 31 Dec 2025 would receive an invitation email sent by wbdd2026@redcross.sg and a physical invitation letter to WBDD 2026.

  1. Award recipients may follow the instructions on the email to RSVP.
  • Recipient will receive an email and they can click on the RSVP icon to register
  • Follow the instructions on the microsite to RSVP
  1. Award recipients may call 6220 0183 to request assistance to register for the event. The following information is required.
  • Name 
  • Email address (if they have please include, if not skip this)
  • Award serial no. (e.g. G0001 for Gold award, R0001 for Ruby award) - this can be found on the top right hand corner of the physical invitation letter and invitation email
  • Is the Award recipient bringing 1 guest? Yes or No - Each award recipient can only be accompanied by 1 guest for the Ceremony

Event Day

Award Ceremony:

There will be 2 queues for the Award recipients who have RSVP: one for those with QR code (registered with email address) and the other one for those without QR code (without email address).

Award Recipients who RSVP With Email Address:

  • Award recipients who RSVP via the registration link (in the email sent by the appointed events management company), would receive an unique QR code in their confirmation email for actual day registration.
  • Award recipients may proceed to the Registration Counter at Hall 2 for registration using the unique QR code (in confirmation email) on 27 June to register their attendance for the Ceremony.

Award Recipients who RSVP Without Email Address:

  • Award recipients will have to bring the physical invitation letter for registration at the Assisted Registration Counter at Hall 2 on 27 June.

The awards ceremony will start on time. Award recipients are advised to be seated 15 minutes before the awards ceremony. Those who are not seated before the start of the awards ceremony (9.45am) will not be able to receive their awards on the day.

Assigning a Proxy:

  • If the Award recipients are unable to attend the ceremony on 27 June to receive their awards, they are able to assign someone (a proxy) to collect the awards on their behalf (proxy collection) or receive the award on stage on their behalf.
  • The proxy collection can take place on event day 27 June at Hall 2 (collection timing is between 10.30am - 5pm) or at all 5 Bloodbanks (Bloodbank@Dhoby Ghaut, Bloodbank@HSA, Bloodbank@One Punggol, Bloodbank@Westgate Tower, Bloodbank@Woodlands) from 13 July - 30 September 2026.

Carnival:

To enter the carnival, invited guests have to flash their email invitation or SMS at the carnival registration counter. Guests can re-enter the carnival as long as they have the wristbands on.

Community Blood Drive:

The mobile blood drive does not accept walk-ins; it is by appointment only. To make an appointment, call 6220 0183.

As part of this mindful transition, we are delighted to honour your life-saving contributions with commemorative digital certificates. This paperless approach allows us to celebrate your remarkable achievements while also caring for the world we share.


Post-Event

 Award Collection:

  • We are unable to send the award by post or courier.
  • Award recipients who are unable to attend / miss the awards ceremony can email to donate.blood@redcross.sg to request for collection. If an awardee is not able to collect personally,  a proxy may collect on the awardee’s behalf. See ‘How to Collect’ below for more information.  

Medallion Collection date*: 13 July to 30 September 2026, (excluding weekends and Public Holidays)

Medallion Collection venue: All 5 Bloodbanks (Bloodbank@Dhoby Ghaut, Bloodbank@HSA, Bloodbank@One Punggol, Bloodbank@Westgate Tower, Bloodbank@Woodlands)

Medallion Collection time: 

  • Bloodbank@HSA - Tuesday to Friday- 9am to 5pm. Saturday, Sunday- 9am to 4.30pm. Closed on Mondays and Public Holidays.
  • Bloodbank@Dhoby Ghaut -  Monday to Wednesday, and Friday- 12pm to 8pm. Saturday, Sunday- 10am to 5pm. Closed on Thursdays and Public Holidays.

With effect from 1 August 2026, the new operating hours will be: Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am to 5:00pm 

  • Bloodbank@One Punggol -  Monday, Wednesday to Friday- 12pm to 8pm. Saturday, Sunday- 10am to 5pm. Closed on Tuesdays and Public Holidays.

With effect from 1 August 2026, the new operating hours will be: Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am to 5:00pm 

  • Bloodbank@Westgate Tower -  Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Friday- 12pm to 8pm. Saturday, Sunday- 10am to 5pm. Closed on Wednesdays and Public Holidays.

How to collect:

  • If the donor has yet to collect your medallions on 27 June, the donor will receive a call between 29 June to 11 July 2026 to confirm the collection date and Bloodbank location.
  •  Please bring along the medallion collection SMS, email, or physical letter for verification purposes.
  • If the donor is unable to collect personally and would like someone to collect on their behalf, award recipient is to email to donate.blood@redcross.sg with his/her mobile number to request for collection. The proxy should show the email (from award recipient on the proxy collection request) to us for verification and provide the last 4 digits of the award recipient’s mobile number upon collection of the award.

BY TRAIN:

Singapore EXPO is served by two MRT lines: the East-West (Green) Line and Downtown (Blue) Line. 

You may travel by either lines and alight at the Expo MRT station (CG1/DT35), which is located nearest to Foyer Two or Hall 6.

BY BUS:

2. Is the ceremony and carnival open to the public? 

No. The ceremony is only for those receiving the below milestone awards:

  • Gold
  • Diamond
  • Champion of Champion
  • Titanium, Medal for Life
  • Blood Champion Gold, Merit and Platinum
  • Adopt a Bloodbank
  • Impact Multiplier

Ruby, Bronze, Silver and YOUTHphoria holders will collect their medallions from 10.30am to 5.00pm at Hall 2 and are eligible to participate in the carnival too. The carnival is for invited donors only (10am to 6pm).  Movie screening starts from 2pm.
