Singapore Red Cross (SRC) partnered with Burger King Singapore to distribute care packages to 100 clients of the ElderAid programme living in Tampines on 21 February amid the Lunar New Year period. Employees of Burger King Singapore and the SRC distributed the care packages comprising food necessities such as biscuits and beverages.
Several seniors were pleasantly surprised and touched by the kind gesture, expressing their heartfelt gratitude when they physically received the care packages.
"This initiative enabled us to contribute to society through food care package distribution. It also served as a team-building exercise, enhancing camaraderie among employees and providing fulfilment through recipient gratitude, including invitations to their homes as a gesture of thanks," said Ms Karen Nai, Head of Marketing, Burger King Singapore.
"We thank Burger King employees for their dedication and tireless contribution in packing and distributing the care packages to the seniors of our ElderAid programme. Their efforts brought much joy to the seniors, who were very appreciative of their kind gesture. We look forward to having more like-minded partners like Burger King joining us for a good cause," said Mr Johnny Tang, Head of Resource Development, SRC.
Aligned with the SRC's vision of bringing people together in aid of the vulnerable, SRC extends appreciation to partners for their invaluable partnership for humanity.
