At InnovFest 2024, held at the Singapore Expo on 30 May, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) formalised a significant partnership with the National University of Singapore (NUS) Enterprise by signing a Memorandum of Understanding This collaboration centres on the NUS's Discoverer programme, which offers valuable internship opportunities for students.
The Discoverer Programme allows undergraduates and postgraduate students from local Institutes of Higher Learning to intern at the SRC for six months to a year. Working closely with key stakeholders in SRC, the undergraduates and post-graduate students will focus on pressing global humanitarian issues while gaining a deeper understanding of the complexities of providing solutions for the public good. They will also benefit from the dedicated mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in their respective fields.
We extend our gratitude to NUS Enterprise for enabling the SRC to contribute to a global entrepreneurial ecosystem that empowers innovators and drives meaningful change in the community. We look forward to partnering with more institutions to provide enriching internship opportunities.
