Thermofisher Scientific Pte Ltd employees engaged the residents of the Red Cross Home for the Disabled (RCHD) in painting and art, unleashing their creativity. They drew flowers, and birds on canvases with hand facilitation by the volunteers. Their interaction and gift of friendship brought much joy and radiant smiles to the faces of the residents. 

"Initially, some of us were concerned as we did not know how to engage the residents. Subsequently, we felt more comfortable interacting with the residents after we saw how the nurses communicated with them. The nurses did a great job caring for the residents and the wards were very clean and hygienic. It was a rewarding experience knowing that we have contributed in some ways! It was nice to help the disadvantaged. It makes us appreciate life more. We have learnt to count our blessings and be thankful for what we have every day, no matter how challenging the situation could be. It makes us more receptive to helping others. Thank you, Singapore Red Cross for the experience," said the Volunteer Team, Thermofisher Scientific Pte Ltd.

Some residents' paintings were displayed at the RCHD while others will be given to partners as meaningful tokens of appreciation.
