Singapore Red Cross Clinches the Charity Transparency Award 2024

The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) received the Charity Transparency Award 2024 at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay on 14 November 2024.

Conferred by the Charity Council, the Charity Transparency Award recognises charities that have adopted exemplary transparency and governance standards while inspiring others to emulate their best practices. Mr Edwin Tong, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth, and Second Minister for Law graced the award presentation ceremony as the Guest of Honour. 

Dr Yap Kwong Weng, Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Nomination Committee and SRC Council Member, received the award from the Commissioner of Charities, Mr Desmond Chin. 

Conferred by the Charity Council, this accolade was a testament to SRC's steadfast dedication to embracing corporate governance, ethics, accountability, robust transparency and disclosure practices and culture to inspire public trust and confidence.
