Singapore, 30 August 2013 – 200 members of high society reveled in fashion and charity at the Fashion for Humanity Red Cross Charity Dinner at Regent Hotel last evening, raising over S$130,000 for local humanitarian causes championed by the Singapore Red Cross – TransportAid, FoodAid and The Red Cross Home for the Disabled.
The event commenced with organising Chairperson Mrs Genevieve Peggy Jeffs’s welcome speech. Guests decked in Chic Fashionista (ladies) and Fashionably Formal (gentlemen) then indulged in fine dining while being entertained by LaSalle College of the Arts students’ energetic dance routines. The charity dinner ended with Indonesian designer Sapto Djojokartiko (Elle Indonesia Best Designer Award 2011) unveiling his Couture Fall Winter 2013 – 2014 collection in a spectacular runway show. Afterwhich, guests took part in an exciting raffle draw where they stand to win exquisite and luxurious prizes. Finally at the end of the night, guests took centrestage and moved to the guest DJ’s groovy spins.
Fashion for Humanity Red Cross Charity Dinner was conceptualised by local luxury event management company Diamond Addiction, as part of its debut Fashion Festival.
