We wish to share an update with our donors who have contributed to the Red Cross House Building Fund between 2016 and 2018.  

In response to the rising cost and the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Singapore Red Cross made the strategic decision to proceed with a comprehensive renovation of the Red Cross House, including space enhancement, rather than the construction of an annex building as originally planned.

Hence, in 2022/2023, the Red Cross House underwent a major renovation to keep pace with the changing times and the evolving role of the Red Cross. We have refurbished the Red Cross House over an 18-month period, re-opening it in 2023. The initiative enables us to create a more inclusive and functional environment, ensuring that the space continues to serve as a hub for humanitarian outreach and support. 

We shall thus channel the funds from the original Building Fund towards the Refurbishment of the Red Cross House. Should donors have any objection to the re-purposing of the funds, please write in to us at fundraising@redcross.sg by 31 March 2025 for a refund.
