An environmental sustainability partnership
Investing in environmental sustainability through the reduction of carbon footprint, PS Energy is pledging 6,000 litres of biodiesel towards the Singapore Red Cross’ (SRC) fleet of vehicles over a year. The two organisations signed a partnership agreement during PS Energy’s first biodiesel delivery, where 18 Red Cross vehicles were refueled with EDE B7 biodiesel.
Mr. Patrick Ng, Executive Director at PS Energy remarked, “We are pleased with our tie-up with the Singapore Red Cross for our CSR activities. With this partnership, we are not just helping Red Cross fulfill humanitarian services for the most disadvantaged in our community, but also, we are contributing towards having a greener environment. Biodiesel is cleaner than conventional fuel and can lower lifecycle greenhouse gases significantly depending on the blend”.
Mr Benjamin William, Secretary General/CEO of Singapore Red Cross said, "We thank PS Energy for the eco-partnership, which enables the Singapore Red Cross to reduce carbon emissions in our TransportAid for vulnerable communities.Every day, we help the elderly, and persons with disabilities, from low-income homes get to and from life-sustaining healthcare, such as medical treatments, dialysis, rehabilitation and day activity centres."
