Executive (FoodAid) / District Manager

Job scope
 
1. To provide FoodAid through Singapore Red Cross Meals with Love (MwL) programme to identified individuals and families across Singapore.  
 
2. To provide community-based social services to identified individuals and families living in the Central Singapore district
 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 
1. Administer and manage the Meals with Love (MwL) applications 
2. Design and implement programmes for our beneficiaries and build resilience in them
3. To assist the District President to administer and oversee the implementation of relevant Singapore Red Cross (SRC) local services 
4. To assume the role of District Manager of Red Cross Club District 
 
Principal Accountability
Operation
- Manage referrals for admission into the FoodAid programmes
- Establish the respective work groups of district community resilience activities, namely Elder Aid, Food Aid, Transport Aid, HoME+ and Community First Aid
- Provide secretariat support during quarterly exco meetings in the district
- Conduct community and beneficiary needs assessment
- Partner with appropriate community resources to develop ways to meet identified needs
- Participate (in an interdisciplinary team) in beneficiary care planning
- Conduct periodic review of cases and conduct programme and service evaluation
- Work with social workers to ensure that proper needs assessment, follow up and administrative work is carried out 

Customer/Stakeholder Management
- Interview beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries
- Coordinate with the relevant agencies on matters related to the social needs of the beneficiary
- Manage volunteers of FoodAid at HQ level and other services in the district
 
Additional skills and knowledge
- Good command of spoken and written English; ability to converse in local dialects would be an added advantage
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint and Google Chrome environment
- Good presentation and report writing skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of local and international community welfare programmes and services
- Demonstrates initiative, analytical and problem solving skills
