"The Singapore Red Cross has been steadfast in its humanitarian mission to uplift the most vulnerable. Their social services help seniors and persons with disabilities live with dignity; support families through tough times; give a leg up to children from disadvantaged backgrounds; and, more significantly, reduce intergenerational vulnerability. Their programmes contribute to a consistent blood supply for our nation’s transfusion needs, and a community of first aiders and lifesavers, keeping Singapore strong and resilient," said Mr Seah in his speech.

He added, "The world today faces complex and interconnected challenges, whether it is climate change, societal tensions, economic strains or mental stress. It is very evident that we have to work together to overcome these challenges. Hence, it is critical that we promote and hold up the spirit of partnership and volunteerism  - something that is exemplified by the Singapore Red Cross and indeed the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It is important for us to come together in the spirit of solidarity as a community and a nation, to overcome our present and future challenges."

Spearheaded by the Organising Chairperson, Ms Emily Tan, expressed her appreciation for the strong support of the donors, sponsors and golfers at this year's Charity Golf.
