Singapore, 28 September 2015 – In view of the persistent haze and unpredictable wind conditions, Singapore Red Cross is distributing N95 masks to beneficiaries of its Community FirstAid, FoodAid, TransportAid and Community-Led Action for ResiliencE (C.L.A.R.E) programme over the next two weeks.

While reaching out to its beneficiaries, Singapore Red Cross is also making available these masks to members of the public at its headquarters at Red Cross House, from tomorrow, 29 September 2015. Each individual will be eligible for two masks – while stocks last.

“In addition to taking active steps to ensure the well-being of our beneficiaries, this contribution is our small way of helping to safeguard the community from the effects of haze. We encourage everyone to be vigilant of their own health.” said Mr Benjamin William, Singapore Red Cross’ Secretary General/CEO.

Also located at the Red Cross House is the Singapore Red Cross Academy, that runs public courses/certification in first aid and disaster interventions.

Members of the public who need masks can pick up the masks at Red Cross House, 15 Penang Lane, Singapore 238486, from 9am to 6pm, Mondays to Fridays. For enquiries, please call 6664 0500.
