Singapore, 25 November 2022 – The Singapore Red Cross has launched a public fundraising appeal for humanitarian response to communities affected by the West Java earthquake. Funds raised will support the provision of food, medical relief and emergency shelter. The appeal will run from today till 31 December 2022.
The Singapore Red Cross has also activated its “Restoring Family Links” (RFL) service to assist Singapore residents to locate their immediate family members who may have been affected by the disaster with whom they have difficulty in contacting. For assistance, please contact SRC.
These efforts are on the back of SRC’s initial pledge of US$50,000 on 23 November, for relief supplies such as food, emergency shelter, water and sanitation solutions, hygiene items and first aid.
