World Mental Health Day Outreach

To commemorate World Mental Health Day on 10 October, the Singapore Red Cross Academy is organising an outreach event to raise awareness of the importance of mental health while lessening the stigma of persons with mental health issues. Themed 'Psychological first aid (PFA) for everyone - School (Youth), Workplace, Community', this event aims to raise awareness of the importance of mental health at every stage of a person's life.

  • Hear from our Youth Mental Health Ambassadors - filmmaker Mr Cho Jun Ming and local celebrity Ms Tyen Rasif - as they share how they overcame their mental health challenges to become advocates of psychological first aid.
  • Short film showcase featuring winning entries of the inaugural SRCA Short Film Competition
  • Poetry recitation by winners of the Migrant Workers community Poetry Competition
  • Complimentary Psychological first aid awareness workshops (held virtually from 1:00PM - 4:00PM)
